When we begin to look energetically at an arbitrary period of time such as the year upcoming, we examine the potentialities that exist among you, between you, and because of you. Understand that choices may be made, especially collectively, that can affect potentialities that exist now, thereby affecting the eventual outcome. We do not speak glibly when we say that every year is a year of change. Understand however that for the year upcoming, what we see for most of you is a year of harvest. In other words, the groundwork has been laid especially in the year preceding to reap some real transformation.

No doubt that many of you have felt that the year just ending was full of change, and no doubt it was. But change leads to other change, which leads to still further changes. And what we see for most of you by year end is a sense of culmination rather than that of beginning. That is not to say of course that there will not be upheavals along the way. For many of you there will be quite dramatic symbolic shifts that occur this year. But again, the groundwork for these has already been laid and what then manifests is again the culmination of what has come before. We see also that the changes are more of an external nature rather than simply internal. The internal work has largely been done. If you would think of this process as something like the process of growth and harvest in your own earth, you can think of this year as the one with all the outward signs of that growth and harvest after a year of lying fallow.

"What!", you say? "Lying fallow? Didn't you just say about all the work we did over the past year? What do you mean about lying fallow?" If you understand the growth and harvest process, lying fallow is all the work done in preparation for all the external churning, growing and reaping. When fallow fields are taken inward, they are taking in nutrients and allowing transformation from the inside in preparation from the growth that is to come. In other words, all the inner work you have been doing is in preparation for the year to come.

In terms of relationships, this intensive growth period may manifest as beginnings, endings, or shifts in direction. Again, each of you will choose differently how this will manifest in your life. In terms of jobs and career we see that in general the business climate is tightening and an aura of fearfulness pervades more strongly even than in the past 2 years. This will likely result in further downsizing and a more unstable economy. In terms of the natural world, we see a continuation in the large outburst of emotion that arises from mass events such as hurricanes, tidal waves, earthquakes, and other so-called "natural disasters". This again is a manifestation of the growth process begun years ago. Politically in the United States we anticipate some surprises that herald some changes in mass perception that again accompanies the growth process. The outcome at the end will likely be one of a more subtle feeling, but we would say that outwardly, 2008 is essentially a year of upheaval as perceived on a surface level. Everything, of course, has its own cycle and again we restate that it is most likely that by year end there will be a feeling of culmination which will feel more settled and finished than will various times throughout the year.

Question: (Karen's comment) I am feeling unease when channeling this message for 2008. Can you comment?

We spoke to you about the feeling of unease, of unrest, that will likely become pervasive during this month. There is a global sense of portent that precedes worldwide energetic activity. You have seen the effects of, for instance, the deaths of well loved public figures. There is in these cases a shock wave that travels the world and affects everyone, regardless of their conscious awareness of the event. So when such an event is likely to occur - when the paths are aligned for likely tumultuous activity - there can be for those who are energetically sensitive an awareness that precedes the actual event. Going back to the fall of the buildings known as the World Trade Center, you may recall the feeling that followed that event. Understand that for some weeks preceding it, this channel felt a similar sense of unease and energetic discomfort that is being felt now. In other words, she has tapped into through our connection the likelihood of such a world changing event and feels energetically uncomfortable as a result. The event we "predict" would likely occur in June or July and would of course have political and economic ramifications as well as a large number of deaths. In other words, a great many people would be affected by this event and this is what is being felt now.
