We will call 2009 a bridge year; a year of transition.

We speak to you on a regular and ongoing basis about change. Change is something that is always present within your experience. It is part of your purpose, but 2009 will very likely represent to you as you look back on it later, as again, a bridge—a transition.   2008 saw many changes—the beginnings of changes and the glimmer of understanding that there is much yet to come regarding changes that are happening on a global and collective basis. We have spoken about these changes before, about the upheavals that are beginning to take place. 2009, then, is the in-between, between the understanding that something is about to happen and the realization of what is happening.

Because of that, we see a widespread deepening of the understanding that the world ahead of you will be very different from the world that you are coming from, in terms of your experience:  how you relate with one another and how you understand yourselves. This is again happening on a collective and global basis. There are many of you coming to this point of understanding all at around the same time. There are also many of you still who go about your lives relatively unaware of what's going on a conscious level, on an intellectual level; however, there is still the knowledge within the body, within the emotions, within the heart and within the experience that things are changing within and around you, even for those people who are not yet consciously aware of what's happening.

But there will be a deepening in the sense of connection that exists among you. You know now that what you do right now, today, impacts someone 10,000 miles away from you.  The way you live your life—right now, today—has an effect on someone whom you have never met.  Your sense, your understanding and your awareness of this will continue to deepen.

Many of you have chosen to incarnate at about this time as a group together because of your work in discovering how your actions impact the experience of others. There is this sense of interconnection that exists among you. There are thousands of you who are here at this time, and we expect that those of you who are involved in this kind of work in healing, energy work,  channeling, and other related fields will be deepening your understanding of what it is that you do, what your place is among the group, and you will find yourself coming in contact on a physical basis with others with whom you are sharing this work.  This is an exciting time to be human and to be alive.

The Challenges

On the other hand, it's also a very intense time to be human and to be alive.  There will be many people dying this year because they haven't enough to eat.  The earth is not sustaining its present population; things will change on this front. And within 20 years or so the population as we see it will be greatly diminished. There are people that you know now who will not exist then. This will impact your life—of course!  This will impact the lives of everyone you know.  But again, this is a collective choice. You are moving into a new state of being.

Again, you have all chosen to be present and be a part of this at the same time. You are making these choices together, whether or not you are conscious of the choices that you make.

We also see the year 2009 as, again, a transition, but in terms of changes in focus. We have talked about this before, and this is one year among many for such changes, but there is movement away from material acquisition and movement toward how you feel, how you interact with one another, and how others actions affect how you feel and how you interact with them.   This change in attention will of course stir things up. Not everyone is comfortable with such change.  There are still going to be people who are in that material acquisition mode. Again, less attention on a global basis will be focused toward this and more attention will be on relationships, interrelating, and how that affects you.

This isn't necessarily a happy thing, you see.  There will be people experiencing depression, psychosis, problems with situational awareness, emotional awareness, etc.   Difficulties that people have already in terms of how they interact with one another will be magnified as time goes on.  Those who find themselves feeling socially awkward will tend to feel more so, not less so, during this period of change.

There is of course, a wave, a curve.  You are heading toward the crest of the curve, and there will be a downward motion at some point.  So those who are feeling this intense awkwardness, this discomfort, will again feel more comfortable, but this is not the year that this will happen.

Question: Will people who are already in a community of like-minded souls, energy workers for instance, feel comfortable even in this year?

During this period there is a heightened awareness of the connection that exists among you, but this is not to say that there is a comfort in the interaction between you.  There will certainly be  on a case-by-case basis wonderful connections that will be made, forged, remembered and renewed. But again, you are human with human perceptions: human ways of feeling and looking at things, human ways of interacting with one another. So if you're feeling spiky, sharp energy from someone, you will continue to be feeling spiky, sharp energy from people.

Again, we're talking about a collective basis; individuals will be making their own pathways toward a more even existence, much as they have always done through time. Those individuals pave the way for a more comfortable and even existence for everyone.
