During the years of discovering spirituality, and reading countless books on the subject, I can't help get a little confused at the instruction or teachings of how we're to be living in our own realities. i can certainly understand what is meant by "forget all what you know, and what you've been taught, to allow yourself to be guided", but trying to put that into practise in everyday life, especially when you have young children is near impossible, I'm supposed to be a teacher for my children as well!
And try to avoid using "I" or "my", because that's identifing with the self, ( I can understand that)but how am I to communicate to everybody on a day to day basis? (these are only a couple, there are many!) Why are we taught language, life concepts etc.,to only be advised that it does us harm or it's not true,I sometimes find literature on this subject to be contradicting or without any suggestions or solutions to change (as much as it's my passion),tell us in user friendly terms!

The fact that you're questioning things like this tells me that you've already engaged your intuition. Never take anyone's word for anything -- always check what you read or hear against your own inner validation. If it doesn't feel right for you, it probably isn't!

I use "I" all the time! People have a need to talk about their own experiences. It's a way we communicate with one another. Each of us views life through our own unique lens of perception, and we really have nothing else OTHER than "I" with which to talk about our experiences. We don't truly know what's going on inside another person.

About bringing spiritual concepts into "real life", and especially around young children -- that's actually a fantastic opportunity. We are not supposed to sit and meditate 12 hours a day. We are here, in bodies, to live lives. What better way, them, to be a model for real life for young children? You can bring your spirituality into your every day actions.

Show them your regard for the earth by cultivating a garden, and growing food that you consume together. Children have an innate understanding of the sacred aspects of life and instinctively honor trees and animals -- explore that together by being in nature often and showing them the wonders of the natural world. Encourage energy movement through practicing yoga together. Make your children a part of your spiritual life.

And understand that nothing in life is wasted. Every experience you've had -- something you've learned, read, or experienced -- is a part of who you are. What you choose to bring forward from this point is up to you.

I tried one time to speak of you
and mention 'I' not once
but this is wrong, there is no feeling
the loss of 'I' affronts.

For what of you, how can I know
I see not all, though I look deep
tis my response to your emotion
that brings these tears I weep.

Not tears of sorrow - tears of yearning
I long for you to have and know
peace and joy and love and wonder
that I could make it so!

But this, each man must find alone
tis his alone to have and bear
til comes the time it's grown so large
t'will grow no more til he can share.

And sharing is but giving 'I'
for nothing else will do
so though it seems I write of me
please know it is my gift to you.

This is lovely! I've been thinking about it ever since you posted. We can't truly interact with one another unless we bring ourselves forward.
