The Seth Material is the name given to the collection of channeled text dictated by Jane Roberts from late 1963 until her death. It has been described as one of the most influential channeled texts of the "New Age" movement.  The Seth books were instrumental in bringing awareness of channeling to a broad public audience^{.  The most famous books in this series are "Seth Speaks", "The Seth Material" and "The Nature of Personal Reality".}

The core teachings of the Seth Material are based on the principle that each individual creates his or her own reality through thoughts, beliefs and expectations, and that because of this, the "point of power" for any individual to change their reality is in the present moment.

The Seth Material discusses a wide range of metaphysical concepts, including the nature of God, referred to by Seth as "All That Is"; and as "The Multidimensional God" who takes His form in many parallel or probable universes;  the nature of physical reality^; the origins of the universe, the limitless nature of the "Self" and the "Higher Self"^; the story of Christ, the evolution of the soul and all aspects of death and rebirth, including reincarnation, karma, after-death experiences, "guardian spirits", and moving on to "higher consciousness"^; the purpose of life and the nature of good and evil; the purpose of suffering^; multidimensional reality, parallel lives and transpersonal realms.

Some Seth quotes from the books:

• We are individualized portions of energy, materialized within physical existence, to learn to form ideas from energy, and make them physical (this is idea construction). We project ideas into an object, so that we can deal with it. But the object is the thought, materialized. This physical representation of idea permits us to learn the difference between the "I" who thinks and the thought. Idea construction teaches the "I" what it is, by showing it its own products in a physical manner. We learn by viewing our own creations, in other words. We learn the power and effects of ideas by changing them into physical realities; and we learn responsibility in the use of creative energy.
  

• If you do not like the state of your world, it is you yourselves that must change, individually and en masse. This is the only way that change will be effected.
  

• Every nerve and fiber within the body has an inner purpose that is not seen, and that serves to connect the inner self with physical reality, that allows the inner self to create physical reality. In one respect, the body and physical objects go flying out in all directions from the inner core of the whole self.
  

• When you alter your beliefs today you also reprogram your past. As far as you are concerned the present is your point of action, focus, and power, and from that point of volition you form both your future and past. Realizing this, you will understand that you are not at the mercy of a past over which you have no control.
  

• Beyond myself there is another self and still another, of which I am aware. And that self tells you that there is a reality beyond human reality and experience that cannot be made verbal or translated into human terms. And to that self, physical reality is like a warm breath forming in the winter air...
  

Seth's relationship with Polaris

Polaris, as they've told us, is the expression of the continued evolution in Seth's exploration of consciousness.  It is the name we have given to the joining of perceptions, awareness, and identities that include Seth and other beings such as Michael, a "good friend" of Seth.

As most channeled entities teach, we are all All That Is.  However, even channeled beings do not have the full perception of being All That Is, and so it is part of their growth to join perceptions to experience oneness and the ultimate fact that they are All That Is.

Seth is Polaris.  Polaris is Seth.  That is their reality.

Identities on the causal plane, where Seth lives, are not the same thing as they are here.  There is a joyful fluidity and playfulness around the perception of who you are, and because it is a perception it can be changed and recreated at any time.

We are constantly amazed by the consistancy of Polaris as channeled through Karen and the Seth Material in Jane Roberts books.

We recently asked Polaris to talk more about who they are and about the reality they experience. The following is a compilation of that channeling and other channelings in which they describe their experience and mission.

We are known as Polaris. We are an integration of seven other 'entities', some of which have been known in the past by other names. You know us as Seth. You know us as Michael. And there are 5 other energies. Together, as Polaris, we combine the energies of Seth, Michael and the others that talk about the nature of reality and personal self-awareness. We combine these energies with energies of transformational healing. Our intention is to connect you not only to the global collective consciousness of humanity but also to the more primary energies of the earth, the universe, and all physical plane intention from this moment forward.

While it is true that humanity occupies but a small corner of the universe and of existence, it is nevertheless an influence on all physical plane experience. This, then, is what we bring to you as a collective whole: through our messages, through our personal interactions on a one-on-one basis or among groups, we assist you with your choices to create change not only for yourselves on a personal level, but also for humanity, for your planet and for all existence.

We teach self empowerment through self awareness. When you know who you are and when you understand the dynamics that you bring to your relationships and to your interactions, then you can bring more of yourself into those relationships and interactions. Bringing more of yourself encourages others to do the same. Why is this important? Because it allows for more conscious, joyful, life choices for yourself, for all those around you, and for all those who touch those around you.

Polaris speaks regularly to groups and during individual sessions. Because we are all so intimately connected, we are helping each other learn. Questions are part of the whole; they are just as empowering as the answers themselves.
