Many of you are feeling pain at this time, the pain either of inner transformation and your resistance and fears surrounding this, or the pain of feeling things are being imposed upon you. This, like every other time in the course of human history, is a time of change. Sometimes this change is more outwardly evident than others, and the signs are at this time inescapable for many of you, with high fuel prices, burst housing bubbles, high food prices, and other financial and economic pressures.
In addition, the very fabric of society is changing along with the more tangible changes, as attitudes must move from one of fullness and complacency to one of lack and fear, and then back again to fullness. It is a cycle that moves endlessly, and it of course affects you on any levels. Let us look at some of these levels of being affected by change: Firstly, there are tangible responses to the outward signs of change. If fuel costs twice what it did a year ago, you begin to think twice about those long Sunday drives. As time goes on you develop a different attitude toward driving in general and find yourself evaluating your fuel usage with different priorities in mind. As time continues you begin to look for additional solutions; does that house in the suburbs still make sense? Do you feel differently about it now? And over the course of 20 years, or 50, enough changes are made at a personal level that the rest of society, including the economic aspects, has to enact tangible changes to support the new desires of the individuals. On a different level there are changes in how one sees oneself. If you are changing your perspectives on driving, commuting, and the general sense you may have once had about having freedom to move about, then this of course has an effect on you on an internal level. If you no longer feel comfortable jumping in the car and taking a long drive, what do you do instead? Perhaps you take up painting. That is on a surface level that, again, of course has effects on an inner level as well. You begin to change your identity, the clothing you cover yourself with when you interact with others and with yourself. You create new aspects to your identity and naturally shed old ones. This process can be painful at times; we tend to hold onto what we know and fear what we do not, so this can cause a feeling of being unbalanced and unsettled. On still another level there are changes in one’s interactions with others. If you now begin to see yourself differently, you will do this not only when you think about who you are on a theoretical basis but also in every interaction you have with everyone else. And since they are also in a state of change there are effects that touch you as well. These changes and effects-from-change have a cumulative effect that then spreads out in concentric circles and creates change on a wider level. Entire communities change, and nations, and eventually the perspective of the entire reality-world known as Earth has changed as well. It becomes difficult to remember exactly how the “old” energy felt, for as much as you often dwell in your pasts those pasts also become hazy and indistinct and you are capable of really only processing clearly the present that surrounds you at a given time. Let us speak also of what is to come energetically this month: Along with the very tangible sense of change and the fear/unsettlement that comes along with it is a movement toward, again, some dramatic weather events and natural “disasters.” It becomes important at times for such events to occur as they help move people collectively through difficult times by providing them with the means to see one another’s humanity rather than feeling alone and isolated. We see this energy continuing on into September. In addition, the second half of July poses a prime time to be very introspective. You have been gathering experiences for awhile and the time is ripe now to begin to process them. You may feel like honoring that energy with carving out more time for yourself, time in which you can hold a space of quiet and stillness while your mind rests to the point of processing those varied experiences. You may also feel somewhat ungrounded and we encourage you to renew your tangible connection with your home, the Earth, by finding places in nature that soothe you and feeling the stillness also within them. Whether you craft a ritual to honor this space or simply slip off your shoes and feel the earth beneath them is up to you. Others will be attracted to water and the energy there. There are many ways to honor this inner knowing you possess, the knowledge of your deep intrinsic connection to this home of yours and how it energizes you and fuels your very existence. Honor that and your airy feeling will begin to dissipate. --Michael, channeled by Karen Murphy July 12, 2008 |
