We often get questions about sharing the Polaris material from this site or about publishing it elsewhere.  After numerous questions, we thought we'd summarize the basic information here.

Question: The footer says your material is copyrighted but I'd love to share it. May I?

Yes!  We absolutely love our material, channeling, articles, and information being shared.

The material is copyrighted because it is original information and we don't want anyone  inappropriately representing themselves as Polaris. We also reserve the right to remove permission from others to use the material if we don't feel the overall flavor of what they're teaching matches what Polaris intends.

We do, however, want this material to help as many people as possible, which means that we like others quoting it and sending it around. To date, we have never said no to anyone's request of reproducing it.

So please share!

Question:  When do I need to ask permission to use material from this website?

Quotations and using small parts of a channeling do not ever need permission at all. That's called fair use.  Simply give proper attribution (see below) and we'll be very happy.

We're also happy with you reproducing entire articles, with some caveats. If you're using our material on a for-profit site, a publication, to promote yourself in any way, or for anything which is making money, please ask permission first for the reasons stated above.  We take the energy of Polaris seriously. As mentioned, we have never said no, but we want to take care.

If, however, you see the value in the material and want to share it to help others solely as a gift to the community (sharing it with groups, using it on your non-profit blog, etc), we give you our blessing outright so long as you give proper attribution.

We appreciate letting us know when you use full articles though, so please email us if you do.  We love making new friends!

Question:  What attribution should I use?

Be appropriate. If it's a one-line quote, then attributing it to "Polaris" is fine.  Giving a link back to this site is wonderful and appropriate.

If you're quoting a large portion or an entire piece of channeling (as mentioned above), an example of a longer attribution that has been used in the past where the name Polaris isn't assumed to be known is:
